At All-Generations Home Care, we are honored to support the Veterans who have served our country. We are credentialed to work with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to provide authorized in-home care through the Homemaker and Home Health Aide and Respite Care programs.

Our compassionate care specialists help eligible Veterans remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes. Every care plan is personalized around the Veteran’s approved services, daily routines, personal preferences and changing needs.

VA Homemaker and Home Health Aide Care

The VA Homemaker and Home Health Aide program provides eligible Veterans with assistance completing everyday activities at home. This non-medical support can make it easier for Veterans to continue living in familiar surroundings while receiving dependable help with their daily routines.

Depending on the Veteran’s VA-authorized plan of care, our care specialists may assist with:

  • Bathing, grooming and dressing
  • Toileting and personal hygiene
  • Mobility and transfer assistance
  • Meal preparation and nutrition support
  • Grocery shopping and errands
  • Light housekeeping and laundry
  • Medication reminders
  • Companionship and social interaction
  • Support with maintaining a safe home environment
  • Other approved activities of daily living

The amount and frequency of care are determined by the Veteran’s assessed needs and VA authorization.

VA Respite Care for Veterans and Their Families

Caring for a loved one can be meaningful, but it can also require a significant amount of time and energy. VA Respite Care provides temporary in-home support so a Veteran’s regular family caregiver can rest, attend appointments, complete errands or manage other responsibilities.

While the family caregiver takes a needed break, an All-Generations care specialist can remain with the Veteran and provide assistance according to the approved care plan.

Respite care may include:

  • Companionship and supervision
  • Personal care assistance
  • Meal preparation
  • Support with daily routines
  • Light household tasks
  • Mobility assistance
  • Safety monitoring
  • Relief for family caregivers

Our goal is to help family caregivers step away with greater confidence, knowing their loved one is receiving attentive and respectful support.

Our team carefully matches each Veteran with a care specialist based on their needs, schedule and preferences. As those needs change, we remain flexible and work to adjust the care arrangement when permitted by the Veteran’s authorization.

Frequently Asked Questions

Eligible Veterans may receive authorized in-home services through VA programs such as Homemaker and Home Health Aide Care or Respite Care. Eligibility, approved services, hours and possible copays are determined by the VA.

The Veteran’s VA care team, social worker or case manager determines eligibility and clinical need. All-Generations Home Care does not make VA eligibility or benefit decisions.

Homemaker and Home Health Aide Care provides help with personal care and daily activities. Respite Care provides temporary relief when a Veteran’s regular family caregiver needs a break or must attend to other responsibilities.

Some Veterans may receive more than one home and community-based service when clinically appropriate and authorized by the VA. The Veteran’s VA care team can explain the available options.

Our care specialists provide non-medical home care and assistance with approved daily activities. They do not replace physicians, nurses or other licensed medical professionals.
